STORK

The founders of the "Stork Nest" winery are Karen Tsharakyan and Syune Barseghyan, who strive to present themselves to the consumer with wines that embody the characteristics and essence of Armenian land and indigenous grape varieties.

Karen Tsharakyan, the co-founder of Stork wine, has lived and worked outside the homeland for more than 18 years and came up with the idea of creating an iconic wine since 2015, when he started visiting Armenia more often. And already in April 2019, the story of STORK wine started.

STORK originates from Ararat Valley in Armenia where the art of winemaking is being mastered. The name and label are an homage to storks, who seasonally migrate to live and raise their young alongside the grapes of the valley and are an integral part of the landscape and culture.

Wine is made from Kangun grape variety.

Together they embarked on a new winemaking journey, which brought them to Malahi wines: a new line of red and white wines that represent the crossing of different winemaking parallels and different terroirs.

MALAHI is the original old name of the Areni grape variety. The bottle bears the work of Armenian architect Ararat Haydeyan.

MEYRON

One of the young bearers of Vayots Dzor's winemaking traditions is “Meyron” Wines. Since December 2021, the activity of the organization has started in the vineyards of Rind settlement in Vayots Dzor region.

Grandfather's edification: "If you are going to make wine, it should be “meyron”(chrism)”, was decisive and equally binding for the founder of wines to create a product that would strive to be the best. Today, every step of the winemaking process is taken with great efforts to create a wine that lives up to that promise.

It is important for the company to exclusively work with grapes of Armenian endemic varieties, such as Areni, Voskehat, Milagh etc. The first claret wine, an innovation for the Armenian market, was also a “Meyron” product."

In 2020, a small winery was established not far from the vineyards, which was named “Dove Canyon” in honor of the settlement. The founder interpreted the name as follows: “The wine stands out for its purity, simplicity, like a dove ("DOVE"), and depth, height, majesty like the valleys and canyons surrounding Aghavnadzor village ("CANYON").”

The winery boasts state-of-the-art equipment that complies with European standards.
